The Napa Valley Reserve

Established in 2000 by H. William Harlan as a private, The Napa Valley Reserve is an invitation-only membership club for individuals who share a passion for fine wine and the way of life that surrounds it. For a fraction of the cost of owning a vineyard and winery, Members participate in as much or as little as they choose in all stages of winemaking from hands-on collaboration overseen by the same Harlan Estate team responsible for what The Wine Advocate’s Robert Parker says might be the single most profound red wine made, not just in California, but in the world to create unique custom blended wines they may call their own.

More than 600 existing members of this exclusive club represent iconic leaders in society, business, sports and entertainment from more than 37 states (two thirds of all Members reside further than driving distance) and 16 countries. Many have families and the youngest member is in his or her 20s.

Prospective member should be entrepreneurial, open-minded, forward-looking visionaries who share a passion for experiential learning, culinary arts, sporting life, fine art, legendary automobiles, and an appreciation for meticulously crafted things in private social settings where they are at liberty to relax and enjoy one another’s good company. While advanced wine knowledge is not required, prospective members must submit membership applications for approval by the Selection Committee.
